EA Plans 450,000 Medal of Honor Servers at Launch

Electronic Arts has announced via the Medal of Honor blog that they are prepared for a large influx of players at launch with over 450,000 console servers world wide, split roughly three-to-two Xbox 360 vs. PlayStation 3.

Current plans are for approximately 100,000 PS3 console servers in Europe, 80k in North America, 14k in Japan, and 8k in Australia. Xbox 360 numbers will be 80k in Europe, 150k in North America, and 12k in Japan/Australia.

The interesting difference between the amount of PS3 and Xbox 360 servers is that EA is planning for 100k Xbox 360 console servers on the US East Coast alone (vs. 40k PS3 East Coast).
